Supporting LGBTQ+ Coworkers: 04. Coming Out at Work

Our LGBTQ in the Workplace: 05. Coming Out at Work course will help you navigate the process of coming out, whether it’s you or a coworker who is doing so. When, why and how someone comes out depends on the individual, their environment and many other factors. While coming out at work can be a relief, there are also valid concerns that come up when you’re considering revealing something so personal to your colleagues. In this course, we will explore how to make it easier and more comfortable if you’re considering coming out at work. We will discuss key questions you should ask yourself first and things you can do in order to protect yourself if you’ve decided to come out. We will also provide guidance on how to successfully support colleagues who have come out. This course includes a video presentation, supplemental material, and a short quiz to assess your knowledge.
