Adult Financial Abuse (California)

Our Adult Financial Abuse (California) course goes over the California-specific requirements when it comes to reporting adult financial abuse. Did you know that California has the most reported cases of financial abuse in the country? In this course, we’ll discuss the Financial Elder Abuse Reporting (FEAR) Act enacted in 2005 to protect citizens over the age of 65 in California. We will explore who the act covers as well as how it defines adult financial abuse and the reporting requirements that must be followed by employees of a financial institution if they suspect someone is abusing a client.
