OSHA Recordkeeping: 06. New Electronic Rule

If you are responsible for recordkeeping and recording at your organization, be sure you are up to date on changes to OSHA regulations with the information in the elearning course, New Electronic Rule. In this course we will review this revised 29 CFR 1904 regulation which was updated in 2017 to require businesses to file forms electronically. We will review how the new regulation doesn’t change the process of recordkeeping and recording, but requires businesses to file electronically. Additionally, we will look at provisions OSHA has added to the rule to require employers to inform employees about reporting procedures, ensure employees are not deterred from reporting a concern, and ensure employees are protected from retaliation. Finally, we will review the three methods you can use to electronically file.
