In this course we will provide an overview of how restaurants operate, the services they provide, and employment within the field. We will review how the restaurant industry has high expectations and a low tolerance for errors, and that while challenging, a career in the restaurant industry can be very rewarding. We’ll cover the five main types of restaurants (fine dining, casual, family, fast food, and fast casual) and describe the features of each.
