Developing Your Culture: Cross-Cultural Considerations – 05. The Concept of Time is an informational course that dives into differing concepts of time around the world. This course describes sequential or linear time, which is observed in America, versus synchronic time, which is observed in many other countries. Recognizing that other countries and cultures may have different concepts of time allows us to be more respectful and understanding when conducting or attending meetings, when traveling, or when meeting new friends or coworkers for the first time.
