Communication: 11. Putdown Offenders

Our Putdown Offenders course offers tips for responding to a colleague’s workplace humor when it has turned mean-spirited or downright nasty. We look at six different types of people who use putdown humor, their usual targets, and ways to prevent them from offending further. We’ll also examine the reasoning behind each strategy and give clear examples of phrases you can use to encourage offenders to reconsider their actions.
