Voting Essentials: News Literacy

As part of our Voting Essentials series, the Voting Essentials: News Literacy course offers practical advice on how to find trusted news sources that contain factual information, so you can avoid getting duped by fake news. In this course, we’ll start by explaining why it’s easy to fall for fake news stories. Next, we’ll discuss why some people may be more susceptible than others and how confirmation bias plays in. We’ll also explore why you should be skeptical of social media posts and explain what you can do to check a story’s validity.
