Scratch

Do you have a creative itch? This course introduces you to Scratch, a free and easy-to-use program that can create interactive games, stories, animations and more. Great for beginners and younger students, the course starts by explaining basics such as how to download the software and navigate around the program window. It then moves on to discussing how to work with sprites, set the stage and background, add sound and use the blocks palette and scripts to make your sprites perform different actions. Finally, it demonstrates how to present and share your completed Scratch project.
The course takes approximately 1 hour and 5 minutes to complete. It consists of a series of short, narrated videos that use screen recordings to show you exactly where to locate the tools and options you need. A side menu allows you to easily navigate to a specific video whenever you wish to review important information.
