The Art of Conversation

Jim McCann, business leader, author, philanthropist, and founder of 1-800-Flowers.com, wasn’t always a fan of being in the public eye. In fact, he says that overcoming shyness is ‚Äúa lifelong habit.” In this course, Jim will teach you what he’s learned about having effective conversations to build relationships. You’ll discover Jim’s strategies for overcoming shyness at business events and his philosophy on building relationships in a room full of people you don’t know. You’ll also practice completing an adjective-based assessment, in which you set a goal for how you want people to perceive you and your company before you meet them. After this course, you’ll be a more confident and capable conversationalist.
