Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Respiratory Protection

For employees working where hazardous materials are present, this course provides high-level information regarding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to prevent inhalation of fumes and particles in the air. You will learn why it’s important to wear PPE to prevent respiratory hazards that can result in long-term health problems, sometimes years after exposure. We will discuss the particular work environments where contaminants are likely to exist and thus require PPE. We’ll also provide information on the types of devices that apply to specific workplace contaminants. In addition, you will learn the importance of a proper fit and when fit tests are required.
