Laser Safety (Gated)

Designed for employees who work with or around lasers, this course explains the hazards associated with lasers and how to prevent laser-related accidents in the workplace. To begin, you’ll learn about the common causes of laser incidents and the requirements for a successful laser safety program. Next, we will explain some basics, such as how lasers work and how they interact with various materials. We will introduce you to different classes of lasers and the hazards they each present. Lastly, we will discuss how to combat these hazards using a range of methods, including procedural, engineering and administrative controls.

After completing the course, you will be familiar with the risks of using lasers and the tools and procedures that can help to minimize them.
