Radio Communications

This course teaches online radio communication practices that follow OSHA and Federal Communications Commission protocols. It is designed to ensure the student’s confident use of radio communications in the workplace. You will learn the key responsibilities of a radio operator. Strict adherence to accepted requirements are critical since they can affect worker safety and, in certain types of work, the life and death of individuals. You’ll learn that messaging must follow procedure for priority, approved messages and prohibited message content. You’ll also discover common radio code words and the general requirements for public and business communications. Your company holds the license for operating a radio communications system.

This course helps you understand that compliance with your organization’s rules is essential. Training in this course references Title 47 CFR 1, 19, 20 from the FCC which makes the course up to current standards and practices.
