Absences from the Workplace

This course covers employee absences from the workplace due to jury duty, military leave, and family and medical leave. You’ll learn what’s expected from the employee and employer by law. We’ll discuss the laws and protections in place regarding these types of employee absences, including when pay is required and when it is not. We’ll also review your employee’s responsibilities and their potential rights for pay, benefits, and returning to work after absences of varying types and length.

Upon successful completion of this course, employers and employees will know what to expect and how to act before, during, and after an employee’s leave of absence.
