Healthcare: Medical Hazard Communication

This course will improve your understanding of hazard communication standards and your employer’s responsibility to properly communicate information about the chemicals used or stored in your workplace. To begin, you’ll review the purpose and core components of the hazard communication program. You’ll learn about the physical and health dangers of certain chemicals, how hazardous chemicals are determined, and the importance of following the information outlined in the Safety Data Sheet (SDS). The course also walks through a sample SDS and shows you how to identify hazardous chemicals by reading the warning labels.
