Hot Work (Manager/Supervisor)

Hot work, and arc welding in particular, comes with dangers and risks. This course provides awareness for managers on the safety practices and safety equipment their arc welders require. First, we’ll help you understand the hazards faced by arc welders and recognize those that apply in your own workplace. Next, we will review OSHA safety regulations, including general requirements and those relating to arc welding and cutting in particular. We’ll cover how to select appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and the specific work practices that should be in place to help welders avoid serious accidents and injuries.

This course teaches managers how to comply with OSHA regulations relating to hot work in order to maintain safe working environments for welders.
