Cold Weather Operations (CWO)

Target Learners: Flight Deck Crew / Pilots. The purpose of this training program is to provide operators with an understanding of aircraft operations in cold weather conditions, and to address aspects such as aircraft contamination, performance on contaminated runways, fuel freezing limitations and altimeter corrections, the hazards related to ice accumulation for all phases of flight, and de-icing and anti-icing procedures.
