STCW – Designated Security Duties

This course meets the requirements of Designated Security Duties as contained in Section A-VI/6, Table A-VI/6-2, Chapter VI of the STCW Code.

Target Learner: The DSD (Designated Security Duties) training program is aimed at seafarers employed or engaged onboard a ship to which the requirements of the ISPS Code are applicable, who form part of the complement of that ship and who have ‘Designated Security Duties’.

Important Note: All of our maritime training programs are designed in accordance with the principles stipulated in the International Maritime Organisation’s (IMO) Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW), and the ISPS Code, that all maritime training institutions must meet when providing training. Learners and Organisations remain responsible to ensure that their flag state regulators have approved this course for operations under the particular Flag State Regulations.
